Administrative/Accounting

Administrative tasks include transcribing digital recordings, prepping survey reports, importing digital photographs into a word document, proofreading reports, scanning and filing documents into our paperless filing system. Accounting tasks include preparing client invoices and emailing them to clients. Weekly monitoring of accounts receivables and sending emails to clients for payment status. The person for this position will be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Must maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to company policy and guidelines.
Qualifications/Requirements
- College degree in English or journalism a plus
- Prefer one to two years of clerical experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft office programs and business procedures
- Ability to operate multi-line phone system and basic office equipment
- Effective communication, problem solving, good time management and follow up skills
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with clients and co-workers
- Must be well organized, patient, thorough and detail oriented.
- Prefer some bookkeeping experience
- Prefer someone with interest in maritime industry and familiarity with nautical terms

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
