JOB TITLE: UI/UX Designer
REPORTS TO: Senior Digital Designer

JOB PURPOSE: The role of UI/UX Designer will be responsible for creating intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and seamless user experiences for a variety of digital platforms such as websites, mobile applications, and other software applications. Cross-team collaboration within the marketing department and other business departments to understand user needs, test user interfaces, ensure design integrity and continuously iterate based on user feedback.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze user behavior and feedback to identify pain points and areas for improvement by conducting user research through on-site monitoring and conducting surveys or user interviews.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas with stakeholders.
- Design low, medium and high-fidelity user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
- Adjust designs for various device types to ensure quality user experience regardless of screen size. Provide stakeholders with multiple design options for projects.
- Design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and seamless user experiences that meet project requirements, support company goals, and align with brand’s identity.
- Audit existing designs with user tracking tools to identify friction points and collaborate with Senior Digital Designer to make suggestions on solutions. Working with the marketing and development team to implement solutions and test effectiveness.
- Continuously evaluate and refine the user experience through A/B testing and performance metrics.
- Maintain and improve design systems, style guides, and other design documentation to ensure consistency from approved design to implementation.
- Provide design support throughout the development process, working closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and other team meetings to provide design feedback and contribute to design strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the marketing department and the organization to meet project deadlines and business goals.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, technologies, and techniques, and apply them to create innovative and cutting-edge user interfaces and experiences.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital design, UI/UX design or related field and/or relevant work experience
- Strong proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, and other relevant programs
- Proven experience creating responsive and adaptive designs
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, usability and accessibility standards
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices for digital platforms.
- Demonstrated understanding of SEO design best practices preferred
- Experience in conducting user testing and usability testing.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and web design principles
