The Center for Urban Community Services, a national leader in the development of effective housing and service initiatives for homeless people, invites job applications for a Clinical Supervisor position for The Prince George. The Prince George, is a 415-unit permanent supported housing residence for low-income tenants, many of whom have histories of mental illness, homelessness, substance abuse, and/or HIV/AIDS. The Prince George, a beautiful building listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is located in the NoMad / Flatiron neighborhood in Manhattan, easily accessible by public transportation.
CUCS provides comprehensive on-site social services using a person-centered and recovery-based orientation, which includes evidence-based practices such as Supported Employment, Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Informed Care.
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and direct oversight of a clinical services housing team comprised of a licensed social worker and four case managers. This position is part of the site management team and has significant decision making, supervisory, administrative, program management and service delivery responsibilities including but not limited to ensuring staff productivity, the achievement of measurable outcomes, and recipient satisfaction. This person will be expected to participate in and contribute to a program culture that is client-centered, outcome-oriented and dedicated to continuous quality improvement.
Supervisory experience in the field of housing or homeless services
Strong crisis intervention skills
Licensed social worker,
Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy
Ability to interface effectively and efficiently with colleagues to ensure quality services and program operations.
Commitment to utilization of a housing first and person-centered approach in working with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical and administrative supervision of day to day operations of the building and clinical services team
- Oversight of the program’s contractual obligations
- Maintenance of appropriate staff levels to ensure consistent service delivery to clients
- Collaboration with building management and security staff around maintenance and other site-related matters
