Well established dental office in SF Richmond district and San Bruno has a part-time to full-time opening for an enthusiastic Dental assistant/ Office manager . The candidate must have excellent people skill, and can communicate with the dentists, patients and the front office staff to ensure patient receive the ultimate patient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Chairside assisting
- Taking dental impressions, x-rays, and photos
- Maintain proper electronic patient records
- Give pre and post-operative instructions
- Provide oral hygiene instructions to the patient
- Stocks supplies in operatory and lab as needed
- disinfect treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- assist with lab tasks as needed
- Schedule management (phone, voicemail, email and electronic databases)
- Verifying insurance eligibility, benefits, and obtaining pre-authorizations
- Treatment plan creation and presentation
- Ensure patients have completed the appropriate financial agreements per their treatment plan and collect payments when treatments are rendered.
- Insurance claim processing (submission, payment entry, and adjustments)
- Billing patients
- Serve as a liaison between the Doctors, other medical professionals, and patients, as appropriate.
Minimum Requirements
- Dental assistant certificate from an accredited dental assisting school.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma
- Current X-Ray License
- Current CPR certification
- Certificate for Coronal polishing
- Must be able to work in San Francisco and San Bruno
- Available to work on Saturdays
- Must be 18+ years of age. High school diploma / GED required.
- 2 years of prior customer service experience
- 1 year of experience working at a dental office
