We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IDR Payment Enforcement Agent to join our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team. This role will primarily focus on enforcing income-driven repayment (IDR) plans for loans or other applicable debts, with a particular emphasis on filing complaints against health plans for non-payment or late payments of IDR awards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections within the healthcare industry, coupled with legal knowledge to effectively handle legal demand letters and engage in discussions with relevant parties.
Responsibilities:
- File complaints against health plans for non-payment or late payments of IDR awards.

Handle communications with payors regarding Non-Standard Assistance (NSA) awards and ensure timely payments.

Send out legal demand letters to enforce IDR payment obligations.

Engage in discussions with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), payors, and IDR entities (IDREs) regarding award payments.

Monitor payment schedules and follow up on missed payments from borrowers enrolled in IDR plans.

Communicate with borrowers to provide information about IDR plans, answer questions, and address concerns.

Maintain accurate records of borrower information, payment history, and correspondence related to IDR plans.

Assess borrowers' financial circumstances to determine eligibility for specific repayment plans and recalculate payment amounts as needed.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and institutional policies governing IDR plans and collections activities.

Facilitate resolutions of issues and disputes related to IDR repayment obligations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Finance, Business Administration, Legal Studies, etc.).

3 to 5 years in collections, preferably within the healthcare industry.

Strong understanding of income-driven repayment plans and related regulations.

Legal background or familiarity with legal processes, including drafting legal demand letters and handling complaints.

Knowledge of CPT

Knowledge of laws that regulates communication and privacy act. HIPAA laws and understanding of the application of all above

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications.
