As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Machine Shop Manager to lead our machining operations.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Supervision:
- Manage and lead a team of machinists and technicians.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance feedback to enhance team productivity.
- Production Planning:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of materials and information.
- Machine Operation and Maintenance:
- Oversee the operation, setup, and maintenance of CNC machines and other equipment.
- Ensure machines are properly calibrated and maintained for optimal performance.
- Quality Control:
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to guarantee the production of precision parts that meet industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure product quality.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a secure working environment.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the machine shop budget, controlling costs and maximizing efficiency.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance overall productivity.
- Training and Development:
- Provide training programs for team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in a machine shop environment, with at least [X years] in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of CNC machining processes and equipment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
