The Land Planning and Feasibility Analyst is an integral role that works cross-functionally with our Civil Engineering Team and in conjunction with the Land Planning and Feasibility Coordinator/Team Lead. This role provides data analysis from internal and public data sources to enable the Team to provide strategic insights on Land Development Projects of varying scopes and complexities. The data gathering, Site Investigation Report preparation, and preliminary design assistance provided by this role enables our Team to deliver to the Client high quality data used to establish a strategy for land purchases and use. The Feasibility Analyst shall be familiar with performing online, telephone, and in person code research and be familiar with general site layout practices and strategies for various land development projects. While preparing Site Investigation Reports and Conceptual Site Plans/Renderings, the successful candidate will be expected to perform, at a minimum, the following tasks: 1) Land development and building code research; 2) Project schedule, permitting process, and permit fee estimations; 3) Site infrastructure planning and coordination; 4) Site plan layouts and renderings; 5) Permit procurement assistance; and 6) Misc. feasibility tasks as assigned by the Feasibility Coordinator (or Team Lead). The candidate will be expected to provide an innovative approach to obtaining the necessary information to prepare and provide a concise, yet thorough report/plan. The ability to maintain a high level of productivity, review product for adherence to Client expectations and standards, and willingness to obtain progressive experience and training on the feasibility process is key. Additional requirements include the ability to communicate in both written and oral format clearly and concisely and display strong organizational skills. The “Client” for this position is defined as any individual (internal or external to the company) who assigns them work.
This position includes the following initial responsibilities:
· Coordination with jurisdictions and clients regarding typical feasibility items required for the proper investigation of a site including, but not limited to: Site Investigation Reports, Conceptual Site Plans/Renderings, Summary of Quantities, and Code Research. Travel may be necessary.
· Coordination with the Feasibility Coordinator or other internal staff regarding their needs for any feasibility items.
· Anticipating potential feasibility related issues and facilitating their resolution.
· Review of feasibility deliverables and reports for adherence to client expectations and standards.
· Utilization of MS Office Suite to prepare Site Investigation Reports
· Utilization of AutoCAD and Google SketchUp to prepare Conceptual Site Plans/Renderings required by Clients
· Performing data collection & data entry tasks
· Anticipating potential assignment issues and facilitating their resolution
· Ability to read & interpret jurisdictional codes, site plans, design standards, guidelines, and client scope
· Deliberate review of completed tasks and assignments for adherence to Ingenium standards as well as client schedule, expectations and standards
· Support departmental process improvement initiatives and general departmental administrative functions
Requirements & Attributes:
· High School or Technical School Training
· Minimum of 2 years work experience in a professional services setting
· Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to draft correspondences and other communications quickly with minimum direction
· Keen attention to detail with ability to track and manage multiple tasks and assignments at one time
· Ability to act efficiently on last minute assignments and tasks
· Proficiency with MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and SketchUp
· Ability to estimate time to complete assignments
· Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Ease in getting along with team members at all levels
· Consistency and a high degree of quality in work and execution of deliverables and initiatives
