Overview: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our hotel's team. As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient operation of our hotel during the overnight hours. Your primary responsibilities will include reconciling daily transactions, preparing financial reports, and providing exceptional guest service to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Duties:
- Conduct nightly audits of hotel transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Verify and balance revenues, expenses, and guest accounts using accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Prepare daily financial reports summarizing hotel operations and transactions.
Guest Service:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival during the night shift and assist with check-ins or check-outs as needed.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, concerns, and requests, providing information and resolving issues courteously and efficiently.
- Ensure guests' needs are met promptly, even during the overnight hours.
Operational Support:
- Monitor and maintain the front desk and lobby area, ensuring a clean, organized, and secure environment.
- Perform night audits on time and accurately, resolving any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to fulfill guest requests and resolve operational issues that arise during the night.
Security and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with hotel security and safety policies and procedures.
Administrative Tasks:
- Complete administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing reports as required.
- Assist with reservations, group bookings, and room assignments during the night shift.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry preferred.
- Proficiency in hotel management software such as FSPMS and/or PMS
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately reconcile financial data.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in accounting or hospitality is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $19.00 - $21.00 hourly; negotiable
