Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a home care or assisted living setting. Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily activities including Hygiene
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors
- Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities
- Assist with household tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Document observations and maintain accurate records of care provided
Skills:
- Experience in caregiving or patient care is preferred
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and dietary restrictions
- Understanding of working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques is a plus
