Job Summary: Perform daily routine of equipment and report findings. Equipment inspections and Preventive maintenance activities daily, monthly, and quarterly with a high level of precision. Trouble shoot failed equipment and investigate root cause of failure. Balance multiple tasks to completion based on plant priority. Teach and mentor less experienced colleges to develop skills and knowledge.

Essential Job Functions:
- Initiate safe work place practices such as LOTO and align with all plant safety protocols.
- Identify functional failures through trouble shooting methods and make decisions to replace or rebuild failed component.
- Routine maintenance on all equipment: Inspections, filters change, oil change, grease, and document findings.
- Trouble shoot electrical components motor starters, solid state relays, overloads, fuses, safety circuits, motors, solenoids.
- Pneumatic equipment trouble shooting, CNC equipment, dust-collection & blow-down devices and solenoids.
- CNC Router troubleshooting, repairs, and PLC programming.
- Powder conveying system; Vacuum pumps, sheave alignment, drive belts, level sensors.
- Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams and management.
- Self-starter & Team player.
- HVAC equipment experience.
- Precision maintenance (Motor & pump alignments, bearing installation, chain, and sprocket)
- Responsible for new machinery installations.
- Adherence to OSHA safety standards
- Encompasses all the activities used to keep production running and equipment in good operating.
- Leads the development of a Preventative Maintenance program including schedule creation, training, and implementation.
- Coordinate and maintain projects, preventative maintenance schedules and fix as required maintenance in an organized and efficient manner.
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions
- Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts
- Inspects electrical components including transformers and circuit breakers.
- Using testing devices to identify and report electrical problems
- Uses hand and power tools.
- Coordinates workflow with Plant Manager, outside contractors and equipment vendors
- Direct maintenance activities to meet quality standards
- Maintain supplies, parts, and tools inventory
- Be available to coordinate or tend to major issues 24/7
- Work cohesively and professionally with all departments
- Ability to prioritize based on company needs as a whole
- Completes special projects, as needed.
- Other duties as determined appropriate for the position
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Trade or vocational school degree or related experience
- Experience reading and interpreting documents such as mechanical, and electrical prints or schematics.
- 3 or more years of related experience in a manufacturing plant, troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment as well as maintaining the building and grounds.
- Previous experience maintaining powder coating equipment is a plus
- Intermediate to Advanced electrical training or experience with single and three phase electrical circuits up to 480 volts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, job related internet research, and experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Software.
- Functional knowledge of mechanical components (valves, pipe fittings, bearings, motors, gearboxes, etc.).
- Proficiency in operating electric or propane-fueled forklift, scissor lift, and/or boom lift.
- Minimum 3 years of documented experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills. Hydraulic and plumbing skills a plus.
- Formalized PM program, process control and PLC experience a plus
- Bi-lingual in Spanish helpful.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Must be able to visually inspect machines.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
