Position Summary: The Communications Associate plays a pivotal role in supporting and executing the organization's communications and marketing strategies, as directed by the Director of Communications and Marketing. This position focuses on promoting the brand, engaging diverse audiences, and supporting strategic objectives through innovative marketing tactics, serving as a key contributor to the department's success.
We are currently looking for a full-time – Communications & Marketing Associate
Starting at $51,000 – contingent upon experience, education, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Development and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals under the guidance of the Director.

Support the Director in setting and prioritizing marketing objectives and initiatives.

Lead the production of marketing materials and content, ensuring brand consistency.

Creation of communications and marketing collateral, including usage of InDesign, Canvas and additional graphic design platforms.

Design and manage communications, including coordination of ongoing newsletters, creation of special project campaigns, and writing and/or editing blogs/articles.

Support the management and update of the organization’s digital presence, including website, blog, and social media.

Maintain and update the organization’s marketing collateral, including informational documents, stationery, and promotional items to maintain brand continuity.

Implement digital marketing campaigns and analyze their effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.

Manage the organization's online presence, including social media and email marketing, aligning with the overarching strategies.

Analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies.

Maintain internal systems and marketing analytics to provide comparative data for future years and a baseline to monitor success.

Work with internal stakeholders to ensure organizational compliance regulations.

Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure integrated and coherent marketing efforts, acting as a key liaison for the communications department.

Support the Director in stakeholder engagement initiatives to enhance brand perception and audience connection.

Assist with the management of external vendors and oversee specific marketing projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and budgetary considerations.

Provide operational support to ensure the efficient functioning of the communications and marketing department.

Assure timely completion of required training and documentation (e.g., agency trainings and HR forms).

Participate in staff meetings and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Our Ideal Candidate:

Bachelor’s degree in public health, public policy, criminology from an accredited college/university or related field.

Master’s Degree preferred in related field.

At least three years’ experience in relevant fields including corrections, criminology, health and justice systems, etc.

Strong project and financial management skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with diverse partners.

Works autonomously and takes initiative to lead consulting delivery and product

development.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

The agency currently offers hybrid work schedules that combines in-office and remote work. Employees are required to report to the work site three days per week with the option to work up to two days remotely.
