Job Summary:
The Industrial Machine Maintenance will repair, maintain, and facilitate installation of industrial machines used in manufacturing and production operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of industrial machines.
- Install, maintain and rebuild production machines and facility equipment with direction from leadership.
- Equipment knowledge of forklifts, over head crane, mills, grinders, lathes.
- Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.
- Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices.
- Troubleshooting and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic machinery.
- Perform simple machinist skills.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Conducts safety inspections of facilities and equipment, using lock out tag out as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough and broad understanding of a variety of equipment.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, hydraulics and schematics preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of and ability to use a computer/basic email functions.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational school or Associates degree in related field highly preferred.
- One year of experience required; two (2) years of successful apprenticeship training preferred.
- One year of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work ten (10) hours a day.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
- Prolonged periods of standing, stretching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling required.
- Visual acuity to properly inspect and modify large and detailed portions of machinery.
- Manual dexterity to assemble, disassemble, adjust and relocate machines.
