Job Description Summary:
Compile monthly, quarterly and annual financial or budget reports as required. Create and run ad hoc reports as requested or needed. Lead the reporting and analysis on monthly cash flow and availability, and long-term projections. Manage budget analysis for complex organizational business areas.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field. A combination of education and relevant years of experience may be substituted for degree on a year for year basis.
Work Experience:
-
Five (5) or more years in Accounting, Finance or Budgeting.

Five (5) or more years in project management.
-
Five (5) or more years in reporting to external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification: Certified Public Accountant.
Work Experience:

ERP implementation; Workday and/or Adaptive Accounting and Budgeting systems

Job Duties Outlined:
-
Identify, strategize, develop and implement best practices and processes within the accounting and budget planning systems to support the University areas (departments)
- Routine communication with areas (departmental) leadership
- Review and approve payroll costing allocations and adjustments
- Area (departmental) analysis, detail reviews, forecast
- Compile and analyze monthly and quarterly area (departmental) reports.
- Assist with the implementation of area (departmental) multi-year planning
- This role will also provide timely queries and reports and assist in data analysis to support area (departmental) goals and objectives.
- Collaborates with colleagues to improve quality of data and efficiency.
- Support the Central Budget Office with special projects, research and other requests as needed
- Evaluate requests for funds using budget analysis and communication with area (department) requesting
- Provide guidance, training and system reference materials to end users
- Documentation of system processes and assistance with troubleshooting system issues
- Ability to work in an office setting and from home with equipment at home provided by the University

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
