Job Description – Shift Supervisor
Responsible for the direct oversight of front-line employees, in close cooperation with Manager(s) as well as cleaning of designated facilities according to Company assignment. The Supervisor is responsible for the running and leadership of the shift in the absence of the Manager. When the Manager is present, the Supervisor may also be responsible for directing smaller work groups. While disciplinary authority is not given to this position, it is expected that the Supervisor will report performance issues to the Manager.
Job Duties:

The supervisor is responsible for an assigned area or building and the employees.

Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.

Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.

Assign tasks to workers based on job requirements or special assignments.

Inspect all completed work for conformance to customer standards.

Order and issue supplies and equipment.

Train new workers and oversee on-going training of existing employees.

May be called upon to perform duties of workers who are absent.

Supervisors are required to be “on-call” on a rotating basis, for weekend and late-night emergency duty.

Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and possibly checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.

Function as a contact for client, using high level of professionalism and communication skills.

Work with little to no supervision and be able to independently determine tasks to complete on a daily basis

Must be able to perform all physical aspects of the above job duties. Continuous walking and standing.

Must be able to speak and communicate effectively with management and customers.
