RCC is seeking a Electrical Construction Consultant/Superintendent to assist in the implementation of contracts for federal agency clients. This position will require flexible hours which may include nights and weekends.
The location for this position will be in Atlanta, GA and can either be a contract position or W2 position for the length of time that services will be needed.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a Retired Veteran and have a minimum of three years in the construction industry, hold a Contractors Quality Control Certification issued by either NAVFAC or USACE, an OSHA 30 Certification and First Aid/ CPR certificates. Experience working on federal military contracts would also be received well. A Secret Security Clearance is preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe PDF is also desirable, and internet access is required.
This position will require someone who is stable, reliable, self-motivated, and ready to be challenged in a busy environment. They must be able work without direct day to day supervision while completing the work at hand. They must be able to read and execute contract specifications and plans. They must be able to communicate well as you will be working directly with the government personnel at the work sites. You will receive project direction from the Operations Manager at RCC and you will be provided back office support from our administration staff.
As Superintendent, you will drive onsite work performed by subcontractors to ensure that the schedule is adhered to. You will plan the onsite work to ensure that materials and personnel are in place at the correct time and performing the correct work. You will identify any issues and communicate with the Operations Manager for solutions. You will prepare daily production reports and attend meetings as required.
RCC is a federal contractor working on secure military bases, as such, all of our staff are subjected to background checks and verification for the ability to be employed in the U.S as well as attain entry onto federal facilities. A clean background record that will enable you to receive base access and a driver’s license is a requirement.

Minimum three years’ experience in the construction industry in a supervisory role
- Ability to work outdoors in various conditions
- Act as contact to client, designer or architect while on site and conveying or referring communications to company owner
- Documenting work progress and planning goals for the day/week
- Professional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to communicate and interact with individuals of all levels from various organizations, including government entities
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel and Windows Systems; Microsoft Project and Project Management tools a plus
- Electrical Engineering Degree Preferred
- Electrical knowledge of UPS/Switchgear projects
- CQC and Safety training preferred
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Experience in mechanical HVAC, electricity, and or plumbing preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Able to work under strict requirements in government compliance
- Able to recognize issues on and off site and report to company
- Willingness to travel to work site and attend meetings as assigned
