Mountain View Country Club in La Quinta, a private Club with premier golf course is seeking a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team to assume the responsibility for the maintenance and cleanliness of the Members Clubhouse, Fitness Center, Pool and Spa area, Tennis, Pickleball and Bocce Ball Courts, and Comfort Stations. This position is responsible, under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, to ensure cleanliness of all Club Facilities in compliance with Club standards and to ensure all areas are member ready. Cleaning the locker rooms, bathrooms, the lobby and dining rooms are amongst the main responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Dusts rooms and furniture.
· Cleans and sanitizes restrooms; restocks restroom supplies. Cleans employee restrooms.
· Vacuums carpets and mops floors throughout the club including dining areas, Fitness Center and Comfort Stations.
· Empties all wastebaskets.
· Polishes glass, table surfaces, counters, shelves, desks, office equipment and door handles.
· Conducts deep-cleaning projects.
· Vacuums the elevator; cleans stairwells and landings; dusts ceiling light fixtures; does spot cleaning as necessary; cleans window coverings.
· Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Maintenance Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS NEEDED:
· At least 1 year of housekeeping experience.
· Good communication skills.
· Able to work in a team.
· Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
· Expert level attention to detail.
· Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
· The ability to work flexible hours if needed including weekends, holidays and after hours is a MUST.
· Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the profession.
· Must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
· Institutes a positive work atmosphere that promotes quality, safety and delivering services that exceed expectations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands, use fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and lift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. While performing duties in this position, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or hot conditions. The noise environment in the work environment is usually moderate.
