Community Relations Director

Duties:
- Develop and execute comprehensive community relations plans to enhance the organization's visibility and reputation.
- Manage social media platforms to engage with the community and promote events and initiatives.
- Lead strategic planning efforts to align community relations activities with organizational goals.
- Serve as a spokesperson for the organization, conducting public speaking engagements and media interviews.
- Cultivate relationships with key media contacts to secure positive coverage and manage media relations effectively.
- Drive business development initiatives through community partnerships and collaborations.
- Collect data and analyze metrics to measure the effectiveness of community relations efforts.
- Oversee budgeting for community relations activities and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Manage volunteer programs, including recruitment, training, and retention strategies.
- Stay informed about market trends and community needs to adapt strategies accordingly.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field preferred or related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in community relations, fundraising, or marketing roles, preferably in a nonprofit or similar environment or related experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing strategies.
- Proven effective writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising appeals and communications.
- Experience with CRM systems and donor management software, particularly Bloomerang or similar platforms.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and mobilize diverse community stakeholders.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn to oversee fundraising best practices, grant writing, and event management.

Pay: $48,565.00 - $59,981.00 per year
