BasePoint Academy, a leading provider of accessible and effective behavioral healthcare, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Human Resource Generalist to join our team in Forney, TX. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring supporting the HR department and ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions within the organization under the direction of the VP-Human Resources. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Recruits qualified applicants for job vacancies to include, conducting phone screens and scheduling interviews; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for vacancies.
- Facilitates the onboarding of all employees to include conducting background checks, pre-employment drug screenings, credential and licensure verifications, and any additional required pre/post-employment screenings.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating new hire orientation and assist with presenting as required.
- Manages and enters employee information in the HRIS systems and learning management systems.
- Assists with processing bi-weekly payroll to include job, salary, department, and status changes.
- Maintains employee records and perform quarterly routine audits of employee files and systems to ensure accuracy of records for employment files and HRIS systems.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, to include, continuing education, competency assessments, professional licensure, CPR, CPI, and any additional required training to ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards.
- Assists in the coordination of the annual performance evaluation and merit increase process.
- Assists with developing and implementing standard operating procedures and official forms and other administrative documents.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role
- Knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (Gusto) and other HR software applications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience in social media management for employer branding is a plus
- Project management experience is a plus
