**Hennessey's Tavern is seeking dynamic, smart, and highly talented individuals for our Area Manager positions.** As a leader in the restaurant and bar industry, we are expanding our team with professionals who are ready to take on the challenge of managing multiple locations across the Los Angeles South Bay Area and North Orange County.
**The ideal Area Manager will:**
- **Lead, Motivate, and Inspire:** Direct and energize teams across several locations, ensuring high standards of food, drink, and service while maintaining profitability through effective cost control.
- **Travel and Oversight:** Regularly travel between locations to manage operations, team development, and ensure consistent quality and service standards.
This position requires frequent travel between locations filling a variety of shifts including pm closing bartender/manager shifts (tips received on these shifts)
- **Expertise in Bartending:** Demonstrate and leverage extensive bartending experience to enhance our beverage offerings and staff training.
- **Financial Acumen:** Handle Profit and Loss reporting with accountability, including forecasting, budgeting, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- **Team Development:** Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and developing team members to foster a cohesive and efficient work environment.
- **Operational Excellence:** Manage daily operations, planning, and directing to meet restaurant budget targets on various timelines.
- **Inventory Management:** Oversee food, supply, and merchandise inventories, balancing quality and profitability.
- **Continuous Improvement:** Regularly evaluate operations to identify issues, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- **Cultivate Restaurant Culture:** Create an environment of outstanding service, ensuring all team members contribute to a unique experience that exceeds guest expectations.
- **Inspiration and Professionalism:** Maintain a passionate, positive, and professional demeanor at all times, adhering to accounting and cash handling procedures.
**Qualifications:**
- 2-3 years of salaried management experience in a casual/upscale brand.
- **Required:** Proven bartending experience with familiarity in cocktails and beers.
- Proactive guest issue prevention and guest relations skills.
- Ability to maintain high service standards in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing operations with a volume of at least $2.5 million per year.
