ATC Aviation is the largest Airline Cargo GSA/GSSA in North America, with over 80 full time employees in 12 cities. We represent some of the world's leading airlines in the cargo market space. We are now seeking several experienced air cargo professionals, with a background in the air transportation (cargo) business for several customer service positions in our Houston, Texas head office.
These positions will report to our Customer Service Center Manager, also based in Houston.
In this diverse and challenging role, you are in daily contact with business customers, Freight Forwarders, handling partners as well as internal colleagues. You are responsible for flight reservations of air cargo shipments for a number of our airline partners, with destinations throughout their worldwide network.
You support the operational supervision, and you will also be involved in the promotion of the airline product and service portfolio with our customer base.
Duties
Commercial Tasks and Duties
- Efficiently manage customer requests, reservations, inquiries and irregularities by using all channels of communication.
- Extend professional customer service to cargo clients in the sales area.
- Act as interface for business operations between customers and the airline.
- Support marketing communication to foster positive customer awareness on the airline news and services.
- Ensure appropriate information exchange with all colleagues and all interfacing organizations: local sales, other departments, head office, other stations in the network, handling agents etc.
- Strengthen outdoor sales efforts by supporting in rate quotes, adhoc rate negotiations as well as market intelligence.
Operational Tasks and Duties
- Represent the operational interests of the airline represented towards handling agents
- Provide instructions to the handling agent (for example dispositions, pre-advice notifications for special cargo)
- Handling agent supervision: ensure compliance to regulations, instructions (for example CHM, AHM, DGR…)
- Ensure that the services provided by the handling agents meet the airlines' highest quality standards: for example, flown as booked levels, maximizing capacity utilization.
- Take proactive action when operational constraints are expected: irregularity prevention/mitigation also during events of “force majeure” (for example weather influence, strikes, aircraft change, etc..)
- Ensure applicable procedures and regulations are adhered to: IATA-regulations; TSA and Transport Canada; Carrier Specific Rules, and other Country Specific rules as given by our airline partners.
- Take initiative to support in administrative and IT-related topics to enhance efficiency.
Skills / Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Minimum 2 years experience in air freight and customer service, logistics and/or operations role (can be from Freight Forwarding, Ground Handling, or even Passenger Service Roles)
- Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Impeccable customer service attitude
- Initiative, reliable and quality oriented working attitude
- Good organizational skills
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Ability to convincingly promote the quality image of the airlines represented
- Computer literacy, including working skills of Excel and e-mail management
- Ability to work well under pressure

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
