House of Hearing Orem is a local Hearing Healthcare Practice that strives to bring the best overall experience to its patients. We are looking for a new Patient Care Coordinator to join the team.
The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) is the face of the clinic and the guide for patients throughout their journey to better hearing. The PCC is responsible for coordinating all aspects of patient care. This includes providing a professional and inviting front office experience, managing the clinic schedule, patient accounts, maintaining patient records, organizing office flow, leading patient retention efforts, and asking for referrals.
Responsibilities
- Greet all patients warmly and answer phones in a timely manner.
- Ask for potential referrals and understand current marketing promotions.
- Appointment scheduling and data entry using company scheduling protocols and internal scheduling database software. (Sycle Pro)
- Keep our office ready by managing our office supply inventory per company approved lists
- Manage and record accurate account of petty cash, bank deposits and credit transactions
- Maintain office inventory
- Work with patient directly to collect all insurance documentation and understand current HIPAA laws. Confirm any insurance Benefits.
- Drive appointments and clinic revenue by making outbound & follow up calls to potential and existing patients
Qualifications
- Exhibit exceptional professionalism and clearly articulate with patients in face to face, verbal and written communications.
- This role is fast paced and requires you to have both a strong organization and sales mindset.
- As the face of our office, you will need proactive customer service skills and the ability to exhibit friendly and courteous behavior in all patient interactions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred but not required
- Minimum of 1 year of previous front office experience, preferably in a customer service or sales setting. Previous Hearing Healthcare Practice experience is appreciated.
- Superior multi-tasking and time management discipline
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff and support services
- Skilled in handling sensitive matters and patients with tact, courtesy, and discretion
- Technically savvy with computer and systems including intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite specifically word and excel, and ability to troubleshoot printers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
