We are seeking a full-time experienced machine operator for our Treating department in Goshen, VA. The starting wage will be $22.00/hour. The ideal candidate will work 80% on the pad and 20% cross-training for treating.
POSITION OVERVIEW: Performs operational work related to daily work instructions, inspection, grading, treatment and materials. Operates the treating plant safely and proficiently.
Training Schedule: Monday - Friday (7am-330pm) until ideal candidate is proficient and fully trained. Once candidate has been fully trained then the candidate will shift change to 3rd shift.
Shift Details: Thurs/Friday (8 hour shifts) Saturday/Sunday (12 hour shifts)
Schedule Details: Thurs/Friday (11pm to 7am) Saturday/Sunday (7pm to 7am)
Principal Responsibilities:
- Multitasking
- Close and Open treatment valves
- Work in extreme temperature changes
- Assist in loading of railroad cars, trucks and trams
- Basic math skills for calculating, adding and subtraction
- Assist as helper in other duties may be assigned.
- Change treatment charges by pulling out the treated charge and pushing in a charge to be treated
- Properly tagging bundles/and putting them in the correct location according to size
- Staging Material by bringing material up from the field and putting it on the pad for upcoming treatment charges to be changed
- Participates and contributes to company safety program.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED; or
- Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- License/Certification: NA
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Required plant safety orientation.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
