Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in a medical setting. Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical duties such as taking vital signs, documenting patient information, and assisting with medical procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist healthcare providers during appointments
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction - Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care
- Become proficient at medical scribing with providers
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic clinical procedures
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues
- Proficient in medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing electronic health records (EHR)
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus
- Familiarity with radiology procedures is desirable but not required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Ability to multi-task in a busy medical office setting
