Job Shop is hiring for a local and reputable company for a Regional Sales Manager!
Pay: $55K - $70K + commission + bonus
Territory: Northeast Region of US
Job Summary:
· Manage sales of products and services within a specified database.
· Ensure consistent and profitable sales growth through strategic planning and deployment.
· Identify objectives, strategies, and action plans to enhance short-term and long-term sales and earnings.
Responsibilities:
· Prospect new business, manage customer inquiries, and grow existing business to generate sales.
· Document customer information in the CRM system and meet sales metrics, financial goals, and corporate objectives.
· Perform sales activities on major accounts, negotiate prices and discounts, and provide technical consultation.
· Develop and execute long-term and short-term strategies for account growth and maintenance.
· Work with current customers and prospects to meet sales and service needs.
· Conduct plant visits to gather samples, observe instruments, and analyze/interpret results, reporting corrective actions to customers.
· Present and sell the value of products and services to benefit customer needs.
· Conduct training for customer operating personnel on equipment parameters.
· Create opportunities, understand customer drivers, negotiate, and close orders in a competitive industry.
· Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue streams accurately.
· Implement plans to ensure revenue growth across all product categories.
· Mentor regional managers and train the internal sales team in best practices and industry knowledge.
· Travel up to 75% of the time, complete visit reports, and adhere to budget constraints.
· Review and implement strategies with management annually.
· Sell based on market prices using competitive and customer knowledge.
· Develop procedures for quicker sales processes and documentation.
· Become a subject matter expert and representative for a specific industry.
· Sit on trade association boards for serviced industries.
· Exhibit higher technical acumen, reducing reliance on field assistance for sales calls.
Experience & Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
· Minimum of 4 years of technical sales experience in aftermarket sales, with required experience in industrial applications.
· This is an outside sales traveling role with 67-75% traveling time
· Exceptional interpersonal communication, team, and networking skills.
· Strong negotiation, prospecting, and closing skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver persuasive presentations.
