This position is responsible for overall supervision and coordination of the Wellness Program and to meet the social and wellness needs of the residents through planned wellness activities, exercise programming, and continued interaction with community groups. Also responsible to plan, coordinate, and direct the facility volunteer program.
Qualifications required:
Must meet qualifications as required by federal regulations F249
Valid State Drivers License
Excellent commuications skills
Strong desire to work with the elderly
CPR certified
Qualifications Preferred:
Bachelors Degree in Recreational Therapy, Exercise Physiology
Previous experience in long term care
Past Manager experience and skills
Experience coordinationg volunteer programs
Essential Functions of the Job:
Manages the selection, training, development and performances of assigned staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce for the facilty.
Ability to develop and facilitate growth within the department, relate professionally and positively to facilty and departmental staff and to work cooperatively with others at all levels.
Responsible for financial viability of department, to include development, management and accountability of budgets.
Responsible to know, implement and assure compliance to State, Federal or County regulations and residents.
