Our company is small and close-knit. This is a positive, fun environment and you will learn valuable home maintenance skills, trade and construction skills and property management skills. This is an excellent job for anyone who enjoys variety in their daily work tasks, enjoys task completion and the satisfaction from repairing, building and creating things, who doesn't mind some occasional hard/dirty work, is interested in learning about home maintenance or some manual trades, or is interested ultimately in a carrier in real estate and real estate management.
Our ideal candidate is able to lift at least 100 lbs. comfortably and repeatedly, healthy to shovel snow as needed, has a valid unrestricted driver's license with no major violations on their record, an excellent work ethic, attention to detail, willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and good social skills for limited resident interaction. Candidate must be a self-starter and good communicator and equally comfortable working alone with minimal supervision or with others. Candidates must take COVID seriously, be vaccinated and boosted, and comfortable in an N95 mask as needed, although mask wearing is not generally required for most work tasks.
Must be able to reliably arrive at work most weekdays around 8-9am and as needed for on call work when needed. Hours are quite flexible though to accommodate individual schedules and needs. And daily work hours do vary based on time of year, as a bulk of our maintenance work is somewhat seasonal. At least 1 year experience in a related property management, maintenance or construction job is required. Position starts at $23/hr. Willing to consider up to $35/hr starting pay for a candidate with verifiable significant related job experience. We pay overtime over 40 hours/week as well as a premium pay rate for after hours snow removal, working optional on-call time or rare mandatory weekend or emergency hours (which is very rare outside of occasional snow shoveling). We are also always willing to support employee skills and knowledge and can consider paying for job related training and certification if applicable. This is a W2 position and we pay weekly utilizing direct deposit. We observe the 11 federal holidays with pay and offer sick pay and employee PTO accrual. We provide company work shirts, hoodie and light coat and also offer a $100 clothing re-imbursement to all new employees for work related clothing. The clothing allowance jumps to $300 annually after 120 days on the job. Previous work references are required. Please email with interest and resume.
