While primarily responsible for direct clinical care as a primary care pediatrician and building a new practice, this position will also involve community engagement, advocacy, and education for families, health care professionals, and others. The Ambulatory Complex Care program is housed within the Section of Academic General Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and includes a wide array of faculty experts in medical education, health policy, advocacy, immigrant health and vaccination policy.
The ideal candidate would preferably have experience in complex care or team-based, comprehensive care. An ability to work well with parents and a multidisciplinary team is essential, as is a passion for working with children and youth with special health care needs. Candidates should be board certified or eligible in Pediatrics or Med/Peds. This position is a 1.0 FTE. This position is 100% based at the Texas Children's Hospital North Austin Campus and this will be the only clinical site for the faculty member.
