Safe Haven Youth Ranch has an immediate opening for a Treatment Director (Psy'D, LCSW, LMSW, or LPC) at our adolescent residential program. 28158 State Highway 6N, Hempstead, Texas 77445. You must be licensed in Texas to be considered for this position.
Safe Haven offers a market-competitive compensation package with a starting salary range between $78,000 - $82,000.00.
Treatment Director primary day-to-day responsibilities will be:
- Managing the day to day operations of the treatment intervention program.
- Develop and implement admission assessments (including accepting youth for placement)
- Develop and implement initial service plans, updates, and reviews.
- Develop discharge or transfer summaries.
- Develop and implement safety plans for any restrictions that will be imposed on a youth for more than seven days.
- Develop and implement safety plans for any restrictions to communication and visitation with the child’s family that are imposed on a youth.
- Develop and implement behavioral plans for any restrictions to a particular room or building for more than 24 hours that are imposed on a youth.
- Providing both group and individual therapy.
- Provide Crisis Management as required.
Qualifications
- Have a master’s degree in a human services field from an accredited college or university and three years of experience providing treatment services for children with an emotional disorder including 1 year in a residential setting; or
- Be a licensed master social worker, a licensed clinical social worker, a licensed professional counselor, or a licensed marriage and family therapist, and three years of experience providing treatment services for children with an emotional disorder including 1 year in a residential setting.
- Valid Texas license as Masters level social worker or counselor; LMSW, LCSW or LPC ore equivalent is preferred.
- Supervisory/management experience.
- Trauma treatment with TF-CBT certified/trained.

PROGRAM
Safe Haven Youth Ranch is a Youth-Guided and Trauma-Informed Residential Program formed in 2016 to provide intensive mental and behavioral health treatment services to male youth ages 10-17 that have experienced severe traumatic childhood life events of extreme abuse, neglect, and exploitation which is frequently exacerbated by their involvement in the foster care systems. Most commonly, youth served at the Safe Haven Youth Ranch have been referred after experiencing repeated failed foster home placements and multiple psychiatric hospital stays, and as a result the youth is left feeling rejected, minimized, and disempowered. Safe Haven Youth Ranch’s unique approach to treating childhood trauma in order for the youth to achieve healing and recovery by combining the use of evidenced-based program practices and trauma treatment models; and evidenced-researched 4H positive youth development programs as an innovated treatment alternative.
