Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing the operating room for surgery by setting up surgical instruments and equipment
- Ensure that all necessary supplies and equipment are sterile and in proper working order
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure to prevent infection
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and other members of the surgical team
- Assist with patient positioning and ensure their comfort and safety during surgery
- Collect and analyze data related to surgical procedures for quality improvement purposes
- Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Surgical Technician or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with basic life support (BLS) procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems, such as Epic
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the surgical team and patients
- Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of acute care practices and procedures

Pay: $22.74 - $34.11 per hour
