The Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP), Rutgers University invites applications for Lecturer teaching positions to teach a summer-session course (Summer 2024 and Summer 2025) in Learning Disability: Psychological Assessment (18:821:558). The purpose of the course is to develop advanced competency skills in the administration of psychoeducational assessment of children, adolescents and adults. Building upon the assessment practices learned in a pre-requisite cognitive assessment course, students are required to integrate data from observations, interviews, and psychometric instruments for the development of an appropriate psychoeducational evaluation. The administration and scoring of the testing instruments in this course will address issues of reliability and validity, current practices, interpretation of results and recommendations across areas of educational, psychological, and neuropsychological performance. During this course, students will be assigned a case through the Psychological Services Clinic. Thus, the Lecturer will be responsible for course instruction, supervision of TA, and evaluation of student competencies, including feedback on behavioral performance and integrated reports.
The course would be taught in Summer Session, 2024 and 2025 (May-June) with the possibility of recurring appointments. The position would be housed in the Department of Clinical Psychology.
