Under direction of the Community-Based Adult Services (CBAS) Field Operations Team Manager (Staff Services Manager I [SSMI]), within the Health-At-Home (HAH) Branch, CBAS Field Operations Bureau, the Field Operations Team Analyst performs a variety of functions intended to carry out the mission of the California Department of Aging (CDA) and the CBAS Bureau. The analyst will work in a team environment and in collaboration/coordination with members from other teams. The analyst will carry an assigned caseload of centers and will serve as the primary point of contact for those centers. The analyst is responsible for assessment and compliance; monitoring and technical assistance; training; special projects; and general administrative duties. The analyst is responsible for sharing leadership roles for various team responsibilities. These responsibilities require the analyst to participate in and support the vision, mission, and goals of the CBAS Bureau and Field Operations Team and recognize issues that need to be brought to the attention of the Bureau and Field Operations Team. The analyst is a full participant in Bureau and Field Operations Team decision making, strategy formulation, and problem resolution. These responsibilities require a high level of analytical skills and writing ability, communication skills, and broad knowledge of CBAS centers. The analyst is required to travel to perform field work which includes, but is not limited to onsite certification surveys, follow-up visits, and training.

Working Conditions
- This position is hybrid and eligible for telework up to three days a week, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
- The physical work location of the position is designated at the department's headquarters location, a three-story building and standard office modular workspace located in Natomas. The duties of the position require sitting for long periods of time while using a personal computer, reviewing documents, and attending meetings whether they are digital (i.e., Zoom, WebEx, MS Teams, etc.) or in person.
- Statewide travel up to 40% is required.

Department Information
The California Department of Aging (CDA) administers programs that serve older adults, adults with disabilities, family caregivers, and residents in long-term care facilities throughout the State. The Department administers funds allocated under the federal Older Americans Act, the Older Californians Act, and through the Medi-Cal program.
Recognizing that California’s over-65 population is projected to grow to 8.6 million by 2030, Governor Gavin Newsom issued calling for the creation of a Master Plan for Aging to be developed by December - 2020. The Master Plan will serve as a blueprint that can be used by state government, local communities, private organizations, and philanthropy to build environments that promote healthy aging. CDA will play an integral part in the development and implementation of the Master Plan.
