Plans, directs, and coordinates all programs, operations, and financial matters of Blue Summit Hospice operations.
Must have a valid RN license
· Supports the mission, vision, and values of Blue Summit Hospice. Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of all patients/clients.
· In collaboration with senior leadership, establishes strategic direction, and creates and implements plans to achieve stated goals. Strategies and goals will focus on high levels of quality and compliance, along with financial goals.
· Oversees compliance and management activities of the Hospice Department. Oversees the daily clinical and operational activities and delegates day-to-day tasks and responsibilities to direct reports as appropriate. Ensures the department meets or exceeds all regulatory requirements, applicable laws, organizational policies, and ethical standards.
· Directs and leads the recruitment, selection, engagement, and retention efforts of the team in collaboration with the Director of Human Resources and Blue Summit Leadership.
· Oversees performance management, ensuring timely and meaningful feedback is provided and performance issues are promptly and appropriately addressed.
· Recognizes and celebrates success at the individual and team levels. Provides ongoing, consistent, and timely communications with team members through in-person meetings, phone calls, virtual meetings, and email. Takes time to be present with team members in the field as well as within Blue Summit Leadership.
· Closely collaborates with other programs, departments, and communities to assess and meet the needs of all Blue Summit clients/patients. Delegates, but retains accountability for, developing and successfully implementing staffing models, quality assurance practices, confidentiality/compliance standards, and regulatory practices.
· Manages emergencies in a calm, professional manner following established program procedures. Delegates authority to ensure a qualified team member assumes responsibility for program oversight during periods of absence.
· Partners with the Blue Summit sales team to use appropriate market intelligence and relevant data to identify service growth opportunities in current and new market areas. Develops innovative and unique approaches that ensure the highest possible quality of services are offered. Conducts appropriate marketing activities to advance the work of Blue Summit within communities served and collaborates with Blue Summit Marketing and Communications department to brand, communicate, and promote the services offered.
· Continuously evaluates satisfaction, quality, and performance measures. Develops and implements processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency. Ensures concerns and complaints are addressed appropriately; works with clients and family members to mediate issues or concerns other team members are unable to successfully resolve.
· Develops and manages the budget in collaboration with Blue Summit leadership and team members. Regularly measures and evaluates the effectiveness and quality of care services to ensure holistic care is provided to each client and service excellence is found in all program areas.
· Ensures regulatory information, licensure/funding applications, and related materials are completed on time and accurately.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
