As an EDDA- Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with dental procedures, maintaining medical records, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment. The ideal EDDA- Dental Assistant will have 2 or more years, an EDDA Certificaiton, strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast paced environment, a strong work ethic, and desire to grow.
This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, our office hours are 8a-5pm Monday thru Thursday, and 8 am-2 pm on Friday's.
What we will offer full-time EDDA (Expanded Duties Dental Assistants)
Base Wage: Working FT up to 40 hours per week, potential earning opportunities from $52,000 to $62,500 in annual rewards, with a starting hourly wage of $30 per hour.
Bonus eligibility: Up to an additional $2,000 in annual compensation via select bonus programs.
Signing Bonus: As an incentive, we will provide a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
Loyalty Bonus: As an incentive, you can receive a $5,000 loyalty bonus. * restrictions apply and criteria must be met to be eligible for this bonus.
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and setting up equipment
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic)
- Follow proper infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow in the office
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques, procedures, and terminology
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic) for medical documentation
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
Certification in dental assisting is a plus
Current CPR certification is required
Two or more years experience doing EDDA duties
