We are looking for a Registered Nurse to help care for our Residents who we consider as our family. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. You will be compassionate and cool-tempered. You will also be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently.
The goal is to promote Resident’s well-being by providing high quality nursing care for all our 19 Residents max Skilled Nursing Unit.
Registered Nurse duties and responsibilities
· Observe and record patient behavior
· Perform assessments and diagnostic tests within RN Scope of practice
· Collect patient health history and collaborating with Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to devise individualized care plans for each resident
· Counsel and educate patients and their families on treatment plans
· Administer medication, change wound dressings and care for other treatment options
· Consult with supervisors and doctors to decide on the best treatment plan for patients
· Direct and supervise nurse assistants
· Collaborate with facility Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to improve patient outcomes
· Observe and interpreting patient’s symptoms and communicating them to physicians/Nurse Practitioners
· Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift as required.
· Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies as may be requested.
Registered Nurse skills and qualifications
· Organized, able to prioritize care for our 19 Residents max skilled nursing unit.
· Kind and compassionate, considerate, sympathetic, non-judgmental
· Be able to interact well with patients, their family, coworkers, and vendors.
· Communication skills are essential for good interaction.
· Dedicated to keep improving their skills and be committed to our Residents.
· Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
· Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept
Registered Nurse experience and requirements
· Minimum of 1 year experience as a skilled nursing Registered Nurse preferred. Willing to train the right new grad.
· Current BLS Certification
· Current RN license and good standing with the State Board of Nursing
· Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
