Clinical Admissions Coordinator Responsibilities:
* Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and determine DSM-V diagnosis and appropriate treatment recommendations.
* Conduct insurance authorization with insurance/managed care companies, including clinical presentation, acuity, the rationale for continued stay, treatment goals, and discharge criteria.
* Communicate and collaborate with referring professionals.
* Maintain accurate and complete documentation via electronic health records.
Additional Responsibilities
* Work in a multi-disciplinary team to provide direct patient care as needed (i.e. facilitating groups or therapeutic meals).
Education, Competencies, and Credentials:
* Master’s level clinician in social work, counseling, or closely related field
* Maryland License and Licensed eligible preferred (LGPC, LCPC,LMSW, LCSW-C)
* Previous experience working with eating disorder patients is highly preferred.
* Prior experience working with or in a managed care company is a plus.
Hours: 40 hours per week M-F, potential for some remote work with one evening per week.
