Overview:
This position is full-time and requires a motivated, courteous, and energetic individual. The employee must be able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to multi-task and a high degree of data entry. The employee should have a minimum of five years of administrative or secretarial experience using the Microsoft Office Suit, and relative ability in video editing, social media, and computer graphics design would be desirable. The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize workload, and knowledge and experience of various office equipment. The candidate must be bondable.
Responsibilities:
1. To serve as primary administrative support for Pastor/Head of Staff/Moderator and Associate Pastor (maintain calendars, mail letters, etc.)
2. Manage the daily administrative services of the church’s office, handling files and correspondence and coordinating mass mailings.
3. To receive visitors, guests, vendors, ecumenical representatives, etc.
4. Properly handle all communications received via telephone, fax, e-mail, mail, website, and social media.
5. To be responsible for all administrative requests by church staff, Elders in their role as ministry team leaders, executive officers of the Board of Deacons and Trustees, and other organizations and programs as assigned by the Head of Staff.
6. To prepare bulletins for weekly worship as well as for other special services.
7. To maintain a current church calendar (including events, building, and facilities usage).
8. To maintain appropriate files of the church’s permanent records.
9. To maintain, order, store, and inventory an adequate amount of office supplies.
10. To operate and maintain the church member database and routinely update member information.
11. Facilitate the use of building and facility contracts, including receiving and recording funds.
12. To compose the weekly announcement video.
13. To compose the quarterly newsletter
14. To maintain an updated Administrative Assistant’s Office Manual. 15. To perform other duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the Pastor- Head of Staff and the Administrator.

Pay: From $17.25 per hour
