Opportunity at Our Community
We are actively seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our lead maintenance technician in upholding the physical integrity of our community. This essential role contributes to ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The successful candidate will be instrumental in executing a wide array of maintenance tasks and upholding our community's standards.
Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance & Safety: Comply with all company policies, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and ADA guidelines. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure the effective operation of facilities.
- General Maintenance: Conduct daily maintenance activities, including electrical, plumbing, A/C, and heating system repairs, under the guidance of the lead maintenance technician.
- Operational Support: Engage in various maintenance tasks such as landscaping, painting, and responding to resident service requests, ensuring the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Team Collaboration: Assist the lead maintenance technician in identifying significant repair needs or expenditures, contributing to the maintenance team's objectives.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
- Knowledge of relevant environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in the use and maintenance of hand and power tools.
- Excellent physical condition, capable of performing tasks that involve bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for supply pick-ups and emergency responses.
Work Environment:
- This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week, with on-call responsibilities and occasional weekend work as necessary.
- The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, in various conditions, and may require exposure to elements such as paint fumes and solvents.
