As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in managing both front desk and medical assistant responsibilities independently or in conjunction with other medical assistants as part of a rotational system. Your diverse duties will include:
Front Desk and Patient Interaction:
- Warmly greeting patients and efficiently checking them in for appointments
- Providing friendly and knowledgeable assistance to patient inquiries
- Managing patient communication primarily via text messaging to ensure effective and timely responses
- Maintaining a tidy and welcoming front desk area to uphold the clinic's positive atmosphere
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assisting physicians and providers during patient appointments by preparing exam rooms and accompanying patients
- Administering vaccines, injections, and medications under the direct supervision of the physician
- Documenting patient information accurately and comprehensively in accordance with clinic policies and procedures
- Scheduling appointments and efficiently routing patient messages to appropriate staff members
- Retrieving patient information from providers and facilities as needed for continuity of care
- Notifying physicians of test results promptly and ensuring timely documentation in patient charts
- Facilitating diagnostic testing and surgical procedures by coordinating patient schedules and preparing necessary paperwork
- Supporting the overall functioning of the clinic by stocking supplies, maintaining equipment, and assisting with administrative tasks as required

Requirements:
- Valid Medical Assistant Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical setting with direct patient interaction
