Student Career Counselor's Job Summary: Responsible for delivering counseling services to assigned residential and non-residential students in personal and social development, career development, and behavior. Provides individual and group counseling and crisis intervention to all students.
In addition to the following responsibilities:

Organizes and conducts career technical/academic, social and personal career development counseling sessions for individual and groups

Identifying and eliminating barriers

Goal Setting
-
Helping with retaining students in program
-
Facilitating evaluations to keep students on track for completion

Sharing resources and making referrals based on student’s needs
-
Case noting and data entry of student’s progress
-
Works toward meeting performance management goals.

Other case management responsibilities
-
Models, mentors, and monitors appropriate career success standards
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of one year experience in counseling or related field.
Education: Bachelor’s degree, including at least 15 semester hours of instruction in social services-related instruction.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid State Driver’s License.
