Welcome and warmly greet guests on arrival. Answer telephone, take reservations and manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes.
MAIN DUTIES:

Warmly and graciously greets all guests upon arrival

Provide guests with estimated waiting time, always maintaining a professional, courteous attitude when confronted with hostile, impatient or irate guests

To seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations

Thanks guests as they leave and invite them to return. Relay guest comments or suggestions to the manager on duty

To ensure high level of communication between the restaurant and other departments of the hotel

To perform other duties as assigned by the manager on duty

To Promote other Firmdale Hotels and restaurants

To take personal responsibility for punctuality
REQUIREMENTS:

Friendly demeanour

Excellent level of spoken and written English

Must be open to working AM/PM shifts, week days, weekends and holidays

Ability to stand for long hours

Open table certification preferably
