Developmental Disability Specialist
Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated developmental disabilities specialist with QDDP/QIDP Certification to work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position involves providing support and guidance to help these individuals achieve their goals, promote their independence, and enhance their quality of life. Need supervision of services provided by the care giver at the client locations and need to provide complete guidance and detailed description of care to be provided to the client by the caregiver. You will play a crucial role in providing support, care, and assistance to individuals with various disabilities, ensuring their well-being and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assess individuals' needs, strengths, and goals, and develop personalized service plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling to help individuals cope with emotional and behavioral issues.
- Teach daily living and social skills, and provide vocational training to promote independence.
- Coordinate and monitor healthcare services, medication administration, and medical appointments.
- Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and community resources to provide comprehensive services.
Requirements:
- QIDP / QDDP certified.
- Documented evidence of service to the DD patients as a supervisor and care provider
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience needed.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $21.60 - $26.01 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
