Eagle Health Analytics is looking for an innovative subject matter expert, Subject Matter Expert II – HL7© FHIR©, who processes at least five (5) years deep technical understanding of HL7© FHIR© standard, experience developing and testing new FHIR© Implementation Guides, FHIR© profiles, and Value Sets. As a subject matter expert, your duties will include evaluating organizational needs and recommending suitable technical solutions. You may also be required to oversee the development, testing, and implementation of software solutions. To ensure success, the applicant should possess an exceptional track record in evaluating organizational needs and pioneering the development of technical solutions.
Key Experience and Skills:
- Work closely with CDC, developers, and external partners to identify and describe requirements for electronic cancer reporting, including but not limited to mortality data, ePath, and physician reporting, using FHIR©.
- Work closely with CDC, developers, and external partners to develop FHIR© profile(s) and implementation guide(s) (IGs) for cancer reporting, including but not limited to mortality data, ePath, and physician reporting, based on requirements identified.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess deep technical understanding of HL7© FHIR© standard
- Experience developing and testing new FHIR© Implementation Guides, FHIR© profiles, and Value Sets.
- Understanding of general medical terminology and healthcare clinical code sets such as LOINC, CPT, ICD, RxNorm, etc. and value set distribution systems like Value Set Authority Center (VSAC).
- Experience implementing web services and REST/Restful API architectural style.
- Prior background or exposure to health information technology, health information exchange, EHR systems and federal Health Information Technology (HIT) programs.
Required Experience:
Preferred Education, Certifications, and Soft Skills/Experience:
- Working knowledge of the CDC National Program of Cancer Registries
- Strong team oral and written collaboration, skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, business analysts, other developers, engineers, as well as other professional and scientific personnel
- Experienced in customer service
- Ability to work well under pressure
Physical Requirements:
- Indoors in a normal office environment and/or partial to full work from home. May require extensive periods of sitting or standing. Frequent computer uses at workstation for several hours at a time. Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
