The primary job function of the Assistant Sales Manager is to assist the Store Sales Manager in managing all aspects of the functions of the store in his/her absence. Assists Wireless Store Sales Manager in day-to-day store operations, including (but not limited to):
- Responsible for full operation of wireless retail store including opening, closing, staffing, service levels, cash, and inventory.
- Establish and exceed organizational performance and individual performance goals.
- Assist in all aspects of retail including training, marketing, loss prevention, P&L and team leadership.
- Ensure that visual merchandising is appealing to customers while adhering to Cricket Wireless standards.
- Ability to motivate, encourages, coach, develop, lead, and train a winning sales team.
- Assist with customers escalations
- Ensure that sales associates are up to speed on training for new products and offerings, and know the sales techniques necessary to sell them
- Participate in community events, local marketing events and public relations activities to develop a positive image for the company in the local community.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to operate a personal computer and wireless equipment
- Effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Assists with inventory maintenance
- Will be required to wear a uniform
Desired Qualifications:
- At least 1 year Retail/Sales Leadership Experience
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Patience and a high-energy personality
- Ability to work at multiple locations within district preferred
