Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)

Summary:
A major hospital in Atlanta is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Operating Room (OR) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Travel RN - OR will provide exceptional patient care during surgical procedures, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to ensure optimal outcomes.
SHIFT - 6:45 am - 7:15 pm on call, weekends and holidays
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures in the OR.
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Prepare the OR for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and medications are available and sterile.
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures, providing instruments, supplies, and anticipating their needs.
- Monitor and maintain the sterile field, adhering to strict aseptic techniques.
- Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs during surgery.
- Provide post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and patient education.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and comprehensively.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OR protocols, procedures, and equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide holistic patient care.
- Comply with all relevant regulations, policies, and standards of practice.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing.in the State of Georgia
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an OR RN.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to various locations for assignments.
