Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care and treatment
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and performing EKGs
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Provide patient education on medication usage and post-treatment care
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficiency in medication administration techniques
- Experience with patient care in a medical setting
- Basic life support certification preferred
- Familiarity with X-ray procedures and equipment is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
