Join our team at CCCS!! We are currently looking for a Mental Health Professional for the NEXUS Program. The MHP is responsible for providing overall therapeutic, psychological programming for offenders at NEXUS.
Essential Functions:
1. Administers Treatment and Educational screening processes. Administration of screening process includes determining, minimally, the following:
à Suitability of family member for placement in treatment programs based on mental health programming needs and assessment tools;
à Suitability of family member for placement in educational programming based on the results of aptitude testing.
2. Delivers, monitors and maintains standards for programming.
3. Develops and maintains standards for referrals to appropriate after-care providers.
4. Provides quality assurance for programming based on contracts and program content.
5. Provides quality assurance audits on all documents, forms, and paperwork determined by appropriate personnel and corporate policy, including but not limited to:
a) Treatment Plans;
b) Education Plans;
c) Progress Notes;
d) Discharge Summaries
e) After-Care Plans
f) Staffing Notes
6. Meets with Treatment Supervisor regularly providing reports as required.
7. Works with staff to collect and maintain program statistical information as required.
8. Assists the Administrator, Treatment Supervisor and the Security Coordinator to develop, evaluate, and maintain program evaluation tools for NEXUS.
9. Works with the Treatment Supervisor to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Board of Directors, contractual obligations, accreditation and certification standards, and CCCS, Inc. corporate policy.
10. Works closely with staff to plan for smooth after-care transitions upon completion of NEXUS.
11. Assists appropriate staff with review, development, and implementation of policies and procedures for NEXUS.
12. Facilitates groups and provides individual counseling for family members as required.
13. Provides staff training and in-service development as directed.
14. Demonstrates knowledge & responsibility in performance of duties as prescribed by facility procedures. Has an understanding of the addiction process. Has a strong belief in change.
Other Job Functions:
All other Duties as assigned by the Treatment Supervisor.
Required Annual Training:
Employees new to the CCCS, Inc. will be required to complete (40) hours of training relevant to their position during the first year of employment.
The Mental Health Professional is required to complete at least forty (40) hours of training during each year of employment. A minimum of thirty (30) hours must include training specific to the employment assignment.
Additional training hours may be required for disciplinary, emergency, or program-need reasons as determined by the facility Administrator.
Working Conditions:
Working conditions are inside a climate-controlled environment with occasional background noise. Occasional travel may be required.
The Mental Health Professional works five (5), eight (8)-hour shifts per week. Shifts may include afternoons and evenings. Occasional weekend work may be required. The Mental Health Professional may have on-call duties as well.
Considerable documentation and paperwork requirements exist. The Mental Health Professional must be able to organize and manage time effectively and keep records orderly and up to date.
Material and Equipment Used:
Computer; telephone; printer; fax machine; general office supplies.
Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions:
Approximately 70% of time is spent seated while working at a desk or in meetings. Balance of time (approximately 30%) is spent standing or moving around working areas and outside locations.
: Clear diction and acute hearing are necessary with the public, contacts, and co-workers.
Corrected vision close to 20/20 is necessary for effective use of computer screens.
Good manual dexterity for computer keyboard use and the ability to retrieve and work with appropriate paperwork, equipment, and supplies.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Minimum Qualifications:
Education Required:
A Masters Degree in Social Work or a Masters Degree in Psychology/Counseling.
AND
Experience Required:
Five (5) years experience in a Social Services Counseling Position, a Case-Management Position, or a Correctional Program Administration Position.
AND
Additional Requirements:
1. Current Montana State Licensure as a LSW or LCPC.
2. Ability to relate to offenders in a firm, empathetic fashion.
3. Ability to work with government officials and other law enforcement contacts in a professional, effective manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience working with offenders and experience working in a treatment and corrections environment.
2. Experience working in a Therapeutic Community treatment model.
3. Familiarity with reality therapy, and/or any cognitive behavioral therapies.
4. Education or experience with Moral Recognition Therapies (MRT), Criminal Thinking Errors (CTE), or other correctional programming.
5. Experience with the administration of educational assessment tools.
