The Chief Engineer manages all maintenance operations within their assigned property. They create general and preventive maintenance schedules and oversee all repairs and replacements. They also supervise staff and delegate tasks accordingly, ensuring their property runs smoothly and efficiently.
We are seeking a dedicated self starter to oversee our maintenance operations.
- Create and oversee preventive and general maintenance schedules, and plan, prioritize, and schedule maintenance tasks. This includes responding to guest requests, such as fixing televisions, and maintaining the hotel's pools, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters.
- Train, supervise, and delegate tasks to the maintenance staff.
- Manage supplies, equipment, and inventory.
- Maintain the building's exterior and curb appeal.
- Maintain electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration systems, and ensure fire alarm and life safety systems are operable.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and codes.
- Communicate with other departments to become aware of maintenance needs and ensure timely response to internal requests. They also work closely with departments such as the front office and housekeeping.
- Regularly inspect and evaluate the physical condition of the entire hotel asset, including guestrooms, public areas, and the pool area. They complete and retain inspection reports in a timely manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
