Doobie is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Professional to join our fun, dynamic and growing team! Based within a one-hour commute of Manhattan, the successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and executing our market growth and expansion strategies in New York, Massachusetts, Missouri and beyond!
You will be responsible for:
- Campaign and Program Management: Lead and oversee end-to-end campaign and program planning and execution, ensuring the successful execution of an omnichannel strategy to drive new customer acquisition and retention.
- Revenue Generation: Develop and execute revenue-focused customer acquisition strategies across various channels, including managing agency partners to optimize and harmonize tactics, Creative & Media, Experiential or Event Marketing, Street teams, Paid and Digital Advertising, PR and Earned Media, Influencer Marketing, Social Media, and Web.
- D2C (direct-to-consumer) Execution and Optimization: Execute core growth strategies, continually optimizing based on real-time data and insights.
- Budget Management: Manage and oversee budget allocation and financial forecasting for revenue, marketing spend, campaigns and program contributions, etc. to ensure efficient resource allocation, expense tracking, and variance analysis to optimize budget utilization and drive cost-effective growth marketing initiatives.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with 3rd party vendors, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products and services. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance to maximize value and drive revenue growth.
- Partner Relationship Management: Be the primary point of contact and lead the development and management of strategic partnerships with retail, 3rd party (think hotels, concierge and tourism groups!) and agency partners, fostering collaborative alliances to drive joint marketing initiatives and maximize campaign effectiveness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including customer experience, creative & design, and operations, to align key strategies and ensure seamless execution across channels.
- Performance Tracking and Analysis: Establish, track and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and refine the effectiveness of go-to-market strategies across different channels.
- Compliance and Regulations: Stay informed about the evolving regulations and compliance requirements within the cannabis industry. Ensure all marketing and sales activities adhere to legal and regulatory guidelines.
Qualified candidates will be or have:
● Location: Remote but within one-hour commute to Manhattan, with a preference for candidates based in New York City. Qualified candidates residing in cities across Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware are encouraged to apply.
● Flexible Schedule: The role provides a flexible schedule and requires ~35% of business travel. Occasional evening and weekend commitments will be required..
● Regulated Industry Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in go-to-market or digital marketing roles within a regulated industry. Deep knowledge and understanding of the unique dynamics, regulatory requirements and challenges of a regulated industry are essential.
● D2C (Direct-To-Consumer) Revenue Generation Expertise: Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth across various channels, including customer acquisition (and CAC reduction) and building customer LTV (lifetime value) through loyalty programs and investments across the marketing mix.
● Strong Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis and using insights to inform strategic decision-making. Ability to track and analyze customer and channel performance metrics across channels to optimize revenue generation. Proficient in using Excel or Google Sheets and Google Analytics.
● Excellent Copywriting and Copyediting Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write customer-facing copy for ads, social media captions and push communications.
● Working Knowledge of Design Tools: Ability to perform light editing and modifications to existing designs to align with campaign requirements.
● Experience and/or Education: A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or equivalent experience is required. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
