Job Summary
This position will work in concert with Kentucky Kinship Resource Center (KKRC) program staff, Centers & Labs program administrators, and Department of Community Based Services (DCBS) to provide supervision and support to Kinship Navigators positioned in regional DCBS offices throughout the Commonwealth. Additionally, this position will be responsible for general programmatic oversight to ensure the robust and effective provision of services to kinship families throughout the state. The Kinship Navigator Supervisor will connect kinship families referred by DCBS with the Kinship Navigator located within the caregiver’s Service Region and will monitor the delivery of services to ensure families are provided with counsel and resource connection.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding and passion for the kinship population in Kentucky, including an understanding of the challenges many kinship caregivers face and the importance of this role in providing support and connection. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, be able to motivate and lead a team, while supporting team members in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Periodic travel to regional offices across the state may be required.
