The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing general adminsitrative support to the Human Resources Department.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Assist with human resources administrative and compliance processes.
- Assist in the response to routine employee requests and questions.
- Assist with the recruiting efforts, including resume screening, scheduling of interviews, and generation of offer letters.
- Assist with new employee on-boarding processes (manual and electronic on-boarding), including processing of applications, orientation of newly hired employees, and completion of related forms and data entry; ensure new hire checklist is complete.
- Assist with E-Verify and I-9 documentation and assure compliance; periodically audits Forms I-9.
- Conduct background checks and drug screenings; forward results to appropriate parties.
- Assist with the administration of our benefits plans, including health, life, disabilty, dental and 401k plans, including document preparation for enrollment, modifications, and cancellation.
- Assist wit the organizing and managing annual open enrollment communications and election process. Maintains and distributes list of new and cancelled employee under each benefit plan.
- Assist with the COBRA administration for group health plans.
- Assist with data entry and document control for employee matters and personnel files (both paper and electronic files).
- Assit with payroll processes.
- Coordinate and assist with employee training and training assessments.
- Assist in organizing employee engagement intiatives, such as team-building activities, employee recognition programs and company events.
- Attend hiring events such as job fairs, open interviews, open houses, etc.
- All other duties assigned by management
